The not-for-profit Bethel Woods Center for the Arts, located at the site of the 1969 Woodstock festival in Bethel, NY, is a cultural center that inspires creative expression and civic engagement to enrich the human spirit. Located just 90 minutes from New York City on the bucolic splendor of a 2,000 acre campus, the center offers multiple stages featuring a diverse selection of popular artists and culturally-rich performances, an award-winning museum, and educational and community programs that provide meaningful experience in arts, history and civic engagement.
The Pavilion Stage amphitheater can accommodate 15,000 both under cover and on a natural sloping lawn, while offering unique backdrops including the original festival site and the majesty of the surrounding Sullivan County countryside. This stage features leading artists from rock to classical, and country to jazz, including headliners like Carlos Santana, Tim McGraw, Bob Dylan, the New York Philharmonic, Wynton Marsalis, Elton John, Phish and many more. The Pavilion stage also ranked #39 in Worldwide Amphitheater Venues in the Pollstar Top 100 of 2010.
The Museum at Bethel Woods is dedicated to the study and exhibition of the social, political and cultural events of the 1960s, including the Woodstock festival, the legacies of the times and the preservation of the 1969 Woodstock festival site. The Museum is a leading authority on the history of the 1960s and its transformative impact on the world. More than a nostalgic celebration of a colorful decade, the award-winning museum provides a focus for deeper issues and lessons of the decade. Features include a permanent exhibit space, Special Exhibit Gallery, Corridor Exhibit Gallery, Museum Theater, an intimate 400-seat Event Gallery, Woodstock Monument, retail store and Muse Cafe.
The Harvest Festival at Bethel Woods blends a traditional farmers market and a diverse craft village, museum, educational programming and a range of performing arts to celebrate the diverse talent and rich bounty of the region. This season marks the 13th anniversary of this popular annual event, welcoming around 30,000 guests each season.

Wine Festival at Bethel Woods
More than 20 regional wineries will gather once again at Bethel Woods Center for the Arts for the 2nd Annual Wine Festival on Saturday, October 6th from 11am-4pm. The Wine Festival will feature tastings from wineries in the Hudson Valley and Finger Lakes region, all of which will be available for sale. The tasting fee admission ticket is $10 and includes a complimentary wine glass. General admission to the festival, including designated drivers, is $5. Tickets can be purchased in advance online, at the Bethel Woods Box Office or by phone. |

2012 Family Day
For only $5 enjoy a day full of activities for families. Bethel Woods is offering a special opportunity for kids and their families to Express Yourself through the arts. The theme of the day will get visitors thinking about using the arts as a form of communication, and families can participate in a wide range of activities that explore all the arts. Some of the activities include designing your own Woodstock poster, experimenting with family improv, creative poetry writing, making family memory boxes and a Broadway show-tunes sing-along. |
